Morrigan's Moor is a solo project created by Ashlee Erickson, best known as the frontwoman for Sandusky, Ohio-based alternative metal group Triple Seven. Unveiled in the summer of 2016, the outfit's moniker is derived from its mastermind's middle name and a tract of open uncultivated upland. According to Erickson herself, the project will contain a revolving door of instrumentalists in order to keep things such as the songwriting process fresh.

Sound and influencesEdit

Morrigan's Moor is decidedly less diverse in scope than Erickson's primary band. The project's musical style leans more towards upbeat, funk-driven punk in contrast with Triple Seven's varied metal sound. Alongside the blatant funky undertones, there is also an emphasis placed on drumming and vocalist Erickson's hooks; screaming or any similar techniques are utilized infrequently, sometimes not at all. The group has cited No Doubt, The Smiths, Falling in Reverse, Maximum the Hormone, Bayside, Gnarls Barkley, Reggie and the Full Effect, and Prince as inspirations.
